From Mesa Verde we continued east on route 160 to Durango. This is a ski town and home of the famous Durango and Silverton Railway, still running today. We stayed in a ritzy Best Western and drank too much wine while listening to a country group with a fantastic fiddle player in the Diamond Bell Saloon.
