We travelled south from Prince George on route 97, the original gold rush road. Many of the towns are numbered in miles running north from the town of Lillooet (e.g., the town of 100 Mile House is 100 miles up the gold rush trail from Lillooet). These "houses" were stopoffs for gold diggers on their way to Bakersville and later the Klondike. In one of the pictures you will see Dave touching one of the early green roofs at 108 House. There is also a picture of the Fraser River. Nevertheless, we weren't impressed with interior BC forestry based towns, such as Prince George, Quesnel and Williams Lake (Rick Hansen's childhood home). With late afternoon showers threatening we pulled into the Nomad Clinton Hotel, the most reasonably priced and run by a wonderfully friendly couple.

Hi David
I'm enjoying your trip from afar but am now thinking that I am way too much of a wimp - not WIMPY like you - to be able to do this trip! Maybe I just need to get some more experience and get toughtened up a bit.
Your photos are terrific and I look forward to reading about your adventures every day.
I hope Bev's luck continues with the critters and available men to help her out when you seem to have disappeared.
Take care and be safe.
